Where Is Your Favorite Place for a Good Cup of Coffee?

The local diner has recently undergone a major face lift. By removing the old suspended ceiling tiles, the owners of the restaurant that is located across the street from a small college campus exposed the original tin ceiling. Repainted a fresh white color, the new ceiling brightens up the space, as well as making the whole place feel even bigger. The original artwork on the walls and the simple white paper cups and coffee accessories are the same. The menu, which includes breakfast items all day, as well as plenty of lunch and dinner options, has also remained the same, but the freshly painted ceiling gives the place a whole new look.
Fortunately, the remodeling project is complete before the college’s Homecoming weekend when parents and alumni will return to campus and stop over for coffee in the morning, a piece of frozen pie in the afternoon, and various other meals as well. The stations of creamers, wooden stir sticks, and paper coffee cups with lids are refilled and ready for what will likely be another big weekend.
Even in the midst of college kids who come to campus from all over the country, the plain creamer and hot coffee of the closest restaurant in town is always popular. And while some of the big city kids may have thought that they only wanted the fancy coffees and the fancy creamer options offered by large chain coffee shops, the price of a simple cup of coffee that is within walking distance of the dorm is very tempting. And when the plain creamer is a free add in, the college student has a difficult time of justifying leaving campus and spending the big bucks on the latest coffee trend advertised by the national coffee chain.
Hot and black, maybe with a little creamer and sugar, is all most late night study sessions require.
